Rev. Jason Bense serves as the Pastor of the Lutheran Church of OurRedeemer and Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Sacramento. A graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and Valparaiso University, Pastor Bense has served on the Bioethics Committee of Sutter Hospital, the Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento, as Conference Dean and is a synod council member of the Sierra Pacific Synod. He is a runner and plays the clarinet. Passions of his in ministry include the liturgy of the church, urban ministry, concerns for the marginalized, ecumenical and interfaith relationships.
