Regina Q. Banks


Regina Q. Banks, JD joined the Lutheran Office of Public Policy – California as director on January 2, 2019. Banks has served as Policy and Legislative Director for both statewide memberships organizations and within the California Assembly. Her skills and relationships will support LOPP-CA’s expansion goals.

Ms. Banks is a proud alumna of Valparaiso University School of Law, where she was a Jurist Scholar, and Lincoln University of MO.  She states, “I look forward to the marriage of my analytical and advocacy skills with my deep and abiding faith. I admire the work of the LOPP-CA and will work diligently on their behalf for policies that strengthen people and families and honor the majesty of God’s creation.”

James Williams

LEVN Volunteer, 2020-2021

James Williams is our new incoming Communications Coordinator. He is currently spending a year of service working with us at LOPP-CA while living and serving with the Lutheran Episcopal Volunteer Network (LEVN) in Davis, California. James graduated in 2019 from Goucher College and stayed to build a community of his own in Balitmore City. James is a young activist and leader who brings experience in labor organizing, housing rights advocacy, community outreach, mutual aid networks, including emergency COVID response efforts, and much more. This is his first official position in legislative advocacy, and he is excited about merging his experience with his faith background. He is a part of the Episcopal faith tradition and believes strongly in God’s call for justice and compassion to change the world. He is excited to learn more in advocacy and develop in his capacity to push for a just and equitable society.
